Red Thread/Sunny Bates

These business cards were letterpress printed, embossed and sewn on 110 lb. lettra. Embossing holds up quite well on 110lb. lettra and adds a great effect. We printed next to eachother to keep the sewing line as consistent as possible. When trimming the cards down, the embossed areas fit right into each other, which prevented the pressure of the paper cutter from flattening them out.

Allison and Tom’s Wedding

It is always fun to print projects on various papers. For this wedding, each part of the suite was printed on different colored 140 lb. French Paper. The floral envelope liners and pink edge painting added a great touch.

Bonobos Spring 15

For the Bonobos Spring 15 invite, we duplexed 220 lb. lettra to 110lb lettra! This created a hefty (330b.), oversized A9 invite, which was then edge painted with a nice green to blue gradient. You are really able to see the painted edge because of the thickness of the paper.

Engine Room

Duplexed black matte board to Colorplan, printed and then diecut. These 4/1 cards were a good bit of work, but fun work! It is not easy to letterpress print color onto black paper, but after a few runs through the press we were able to get them just right. After all the printing was finished, the cards were die cut so they would have a tiny rounded corner.

Karma Agency

We printed 9 lots of cards on 220 lb. lettra for Karma. These 2/2 cards were finished off by a bold yellow edge.

Magaro Stationery

This stationery set mixed both letterpress printing and embossing. The letterpress parts are pushed into the paper using a rich brown ink, and the blind embossed seal is raised above. We used the same embossing die for both the notecards and envelopes.
The notecards were printed on French Paper’s 140lb. Muscletone Whip Cream and the envelopes were printed on French Paper’s Construction Steel Blue.
